PROGRAM: WE’RE TRANSCRIPTING THE MALE CODE

Petr has been managing, educating and developing people’s personalities in the commercial, state and non-profit sectors for over 20 years. Since 2005, he has directed his work towards the areas of psychotherapy, coaching and counseling. In this respect, he offers his clients a path which allows them to understand themselves and others, in order to be able to accept, understand, and solve the problems they face on their journey. He teaches at the Faculty of Education, MU and TBU in Zlín. Since 2016, Petr has been working with LOM (Open Men’s League), where he works as a lecturer and supervisor.

Since childhood, Petr climbed mountains and was connected with water. His goal as a guide is to inspire the need for clients to “work on themselves”, to offer them a mirror of how they respond to existing or changing conditions on their way to themselves, to others and to their profession, and how to grasp / modify / change / resolve their problems. His goal is not to create an “ideal” personality, but a unique person who trusts themselves and knows what to expect. Life is the art of combining small steps, and self-knowledge is an important prerequisite for accountability for what we do and think, and how we live our life.

Annotation: WE’RE TRANSCRIPTING THE MALE CODE

Until recently, men lived according to patriarchal rules, but today these same rules lose their validity – and, moreover, hurt the men themselves. Being on top of things, in power, leads to loss of contact with oneself, with family, with friends. The male code (as the American psychologist Robert Garfield calls the rules for men’s life) cannot be easily abolished or changed. But we can slowly rewrite it, especially in our own minds.
