MICHAELA CHALOUPKOVÁ

Michaela Chaloupková graduated from the Law Faculty at the University of West Bohemia in Plzeň and has an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh. Since 2003 she has been working for ČEZ, JCS., where she joined as a sales consultant. She worked her way up to the Director position for the Administration Division, which covers purchasing and human resources for the whole ČEZ Group. Her responsibility is to purchase all needed services and material for building, operating and maintaining power stations, distribution networks, for coal mining, and for the overall running of Group ČEZ companies, including public procurement worth several tens of billions of crowns per year.

At the same time, she is responsible for the leadership of HR for ČEZ Group, where one of its key topics is the promotion of diversity in society. In October 2011, she became the only woman in ČEZ’s Board of Directors JCS. Michaela personally held not only the executive but also every management level in the corporate hierarchy. She has a wealth of experience with the operation of a large corporation. At the same time, she is leading a team of more than 500 people.
She’s actively involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development, she tends to the activities for ČEZ Group and she takes part in the Business for Society platform. She appeared for the first time in the ranking of the best 25 women of Czech business in 2012, and in 2016 she occupied the 3rd place. She also regularly appears in the ranking of the 50 most influential women in the Czech Republic, announced by Forbes Magazine, where she was ranked 10th in 2017. She is also currently engaged in mentoring of the Odyssey program, supporting women’s management talents, in the mentoring program of British Chamber of Commerce and the Together2grow mentoring program among companies of Business Leaders Forum platform.
She is married and has 2 sons (7 and 3 years old)
