KATEŘINA GÁBOVÁ

In the 15 years of her career in HR Kateřina Gábová has changed several positions – from HR administration to HR Business Partnership to HR Manager. She has experience in both a corporate and a start up environment. Since 2016 she has been leading a department in the technological company Kiwi.com, which is a company that helps their customers search for cheap flights. The company became one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Central Europe region, which the HR team supported under her leadership with the recruitment of 500 new employees. Katka’s role is not only to ensure that Kiwi.com attracts the best talent, but also to retain it while not losing the company’s specific culture.

For her, respect is the most important in leadership, as well as honesty and openness from both sides. She does everything to make people trust that they can tell her anything, and then find a solution together. In her team she is called the Mighty Katka, because she is unflappable and still smiling.
Katka gains energy from reading books, traveling, cooking, baking and also from so-called “antisocial weekend” (or “I don’t want to see people all weekend”).
