Jarmila Doležalová was born in the autumn of 1939 in a lager mill. After it was revealed that her parents and others are involved in the resistance, hiding parachutists who landed nearby and allowing them to send telegrams from Ležáky to England, 16 family members were arrested. Among them were Jarmila and her one-year old sister Marie. Only the two of them from all the children from Ležáky were selected for Germanization, dragged away, placed in county homes in former Poland for Germanization and then passed on to adoptive families.
