She leads half of the more than 10,000 employees of Česká Spořitelna Bank and takes care for more than 4.6 million clients. With a kind look on her face, she says that she started to build her career when she was a Scout. „I’ve always been lucky with bosses, they were all enlightened people who didn’t care whether a woman could control something or not,“ she says.

The retail team under her leadership managed to entirely digitize the bank in the last two years. New internet banking George is the most widely used internet and mobile banking on the market and Česká Spořitelna Bank is the only bank in which clients can get both a mortgage and a loan online. In addition, under Daniela’s leadership, Česká Spořitelna Bank completely liberalized personal banking with regards to the Financial Advisory Services project „My Healthy Finances“, by allowing the use of personal banker services to all clients without distinction. For the first time since the entry of low-cost banks, this bank managed to stabilize its client base and the number of clients using it as their primary bank started to grow again.

Daniela and her husband Viktor raised three children. She has been working at Česká Spořitelna Bank since the end of 2007, and in the last two years she was responsible for Retail Banking and the Branch Network as a member of the Board of Directors. She also has experience from other banks. After studying at the University of Economics in Prague, she started her career with GE Money, working also in the UK and in Hungary. Prior to joining Česká Spořitelna Bank, she worked in management at Tatrabanka Bank in Slovakia.

Daniela says, „I’m jokingly saying that I started to build a career since I was a Scout. My first managerial position was to lead a team, then I got on the board, too. We oversaw the camps and the whole squad. In college I worked as a saleswoman in a wooden toy shop, which I later ended up leading.
